A package of private training sessions designed to set you and your puppy up for success from the start. Covers essential skills like name recognition, focus, recall, leash manners, crate/settle training, and polite greetings, along with guidance on socialization and preventing common behaviour challenges. These sessions build confidence, strengthen your bond, and give you practical tools to raise a well-mannered, happy puppy.

E-collar training is available for dogs approximately 6 months and older and is fully customized to suit you and your dog. Each dog is carefully conditioned to the e-collar to ensure clear, fair communication, while building strong foundations, addressing unwanted behaviours, and progressing to advanced skills such as reliable recall and place training. This approach also helps humans/handlers gain the confidence to manage their dog successfully in a variety of environments and real-life situations.

The prong collar is an incredibly effective communication tool—but also one of the most misunderstood tools in dog training. I’m happy to help clear up the misconceptions and show you what thoughtful, proper prong collar training actually looks like.

This tool isn’t about pain or punishment—it’s about COMMUNICATION. When properly fitted, introduced, and used, the prong collar allows for clear, precise leash communication without the constant pulling, tension, and frustration that many owners experience on walks.

This program includes a package of private sessions designed to teach both you and your dog how to understand and respond to that communication. We’ll focus on proper conditioning and handling, leash manners, polite walking, foundational obedience, and gradually working around real-life distractions.

The goal? Less pulling. Less frustration. Clearer communication. More enjoyable walks—and a more confident human on the other end of the leash.

Held every Wednesday from 6:30–7:30 PM at St. James United Church Hall (Main Street, Antigonish). Classes are for puppies up to 20 weeks of age (no exceptions).

In a fun, structured, and safe environment, Puppy Classes focus on what socialization really means—helping your puppy learn how to confidently navigate the world around them.

We also focus on puppy play and recognizing healthy interactions, building an “off switch” to help your puppy settle and regulate excitement, strengthening engagement with you, and establishing good manners from the very start. You’ll also receive practical tips and guidance for navigating common puppy behaviours along the way.
